TALENT SPOTLIGHT · A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Your title is only the beginning.

Tell the story of what you contribute, how you work and where you want to go next. A guide for professionals, rising talent and graduates in Saudi Arabia.

Introduce your story ↗

Start with a contribution, not a list of duties.

A professional story gives readers the context behind your experience. Choose one project, turning point or achievement, then explain the challenge, your role and the outcome.

You do not need a senior title or a dramatic success. A useful improvement, a carefully delivered project or a lesson applied to your work can be a strong starting point.

Build your story in five parts.

01

Your context

Introduce your field, your experience and the Saudi organization, sector or community your work connects to.

02

The challenge

Describe the problem, opportunity or ambition. Help the reader understand why it mattered.

03

Your contribution

Explain the actions you took, the decisions you made and the people you worked with. Be precise about your role.

04

The outcome

Share an approved result or a concrete change. If a number cannot be verified, describe the outcome in plain language.

05

Your perspective

Reflect on what you learned and what you want to contribute next. End with direction, not a generic claim.

Questions that bring your story into focus.

Write short answers in your own words. You can refine the language after the facts are clear.

  1. Which piece of work are you most proud of, and why?
  2. What was happening before you became involved?
  3. What did you personally do, decide or improve?
  4. Who worked with you, and how did you collaborate?
  5. What evidence can support the result?
  6. What did the experience change about the way you work?
  7. What do you want to contribute to Saudi Arabia next?

From a general claim to a specific story.

Illustrative writing example — not a published profile or a claim about a real person.

GENERAL

“I am a motivated project coordinator with strong teamwork and organizational skills.”

SPECIFIC

“When our project team in Jeddah needed a clearer handover process, I gathered the recurring questions from colleagues and helped build a shared checklist. The team could follow responsibilities and outstanding items in one place. The experience taught me that useful coordination starts with listening.”

Choose the angle that fits your experience.

Experienced professionals

Focus on a decision, improvement, project outcome or a turning point that shows the value of your experience.

Rising talent

Show an initiative, new capability or team contribution. Explain what you tried, what you learned and how you applied it.

Students and graduates

Start with a graduation project, internship, research idea or community initiative. Make your individual contribution clear.

BEFORE YOU SHARE

Check the facts. Keep your voice.

Your story should sound like you and be easy for another person to understand. Use clear language and approved information.
