Emaar Economic City received PIF approval to extend the availability period of its SAR 1 billion loan facility, Argaam reported on 6 October.

The drawdown deadline moves from 18 September 2026 to 28 February 2027. The facility was agreed in March 2025, following an earlier nonbinding term sheet.

PIF is a major shareholder and related party. This announcement concerns the period during which the existing facility can be accessed; it should not be described as a separate new SAR 1 billion loan or an automatic change to every repayment term.
