The Islamic Development Bank and Benin signed co-financing agreements for road and agriculture projects alongside the IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok.
IsDB will provide €306.89 million for the Godomey–Ouidah–Hillacondji road upgrade and €19.17 million for a legume-based agriculture program, according to SPA coverage reported by Arab News.
The projects aim to improve transport efficiency, regional trade, soil fertility and food security. The report, dated 12 October, also covers discussions between IsDB chairman Muhammad Al Jasser and IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva.
