Saudi Arabia has assumed the presidency of the Union of Arab Chambers, represented by Abdullah Saleh Kamel, president of the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
The Kingdom succeeds Tunisia under the union’s system of rotating the presidency among Arab countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Private-sector priorities
The new term coincides with the union’s 2026–2030 strategy. Its priorities include joint investment, stronger value chains, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and a greater role for businesses in regional economic planning.
Food and industrial security, digital transformation and productive cooperation are also part of the agenda.
The development places Saudi business leadership at the centre of a regional platform for investment and commercial coordination. The announcement does not identify specific new contracts or funded projects.
