Qassim Cement obtained competition clearance for its proposed acquisition of all shares in Amix for Ready Mix Concrete, according to Argaam’s 7 October report.
The General Authority for Competition issued its decision on 6 October. The company said the approval did not change the previously disclosed consideration.
The share purchase agreement announced in September valued the transaction at SAR 65 million. The new disclosure concerns regulatory clearance for the economic concentration; that approval is a transaction milestone and should be distinguished from a separate announcement confirming completion and transfer of ownership.
