Saudia Group has completed an assessment of its future aircraft requirements and is progressing plans for a major order, Argaam reported on 7 October, citing comments carried by Bloomberg.
Sanjeev Kapoor said the group aims for deliveries between 2031 and 2040. The aircraft would support both fleet expansion and replacement of older jets. The group had not decided whether to order in one batch or several tranches.
The request for proposals would follow board approval. The report describes procurement planning, rather than a signed aircraft purchase agreement, and does not confirm a final manufacturer or order size.
